As a UI/UX Designer, I use my skills and knowledge to not on
Enschede, Netherlands

Summary

After 4 years of studying Creative Media and Game Technology (CMGT) at Saxion, I have found my passion for UI/UX Design. I started creating interfaces for games and went on to experiment with websites, applications, and dashboards later on. With the experience I gained over time, I started to focus on working as efficiently as possible. By doing this I noticed how well my designs turned out in terms of usability and style. This has definitely proven itself during my involvement with the University of Twente’s eSportsLab. I was tasked, along with other students, to design a dashboard for eSporters. The design part of the project had been doing amazing. It received great reviews from testers, the client, and other team members. I always made sure to keep my eye on the planning, the designers I was leading, and the other groups within the project. Currently, I’m looking to work in a challenging environment that takes on a variety of tasks. Are you up for a challenge and need someone to support or lead you, give me a ring and we will make it happen!

Experience

  • UI/UX Designer, User Tester, Researcher, 3D and 2D Assets Creator, and Animator at PlanetArt
    Enschede, Netherlands
    May 2020 - September 2020

Gogbot is a tech-art festival in Enschede. Due to Covid-19, the organizers of the festival would fear that fewer people would be able to experience it. That's why they asked me to create a virtual museum. I did this along with Gustav Eckrodt (ViguarGameDesign - https://viguargamedesign.com/gogbot2020/).

  • Internship - UI/UX Design (and suprise-3D Artist) at GameLab Oost
    Enschede
    September 2019 - January 2019

During my time at the Internship, I worked on a project for people that were rehabilitating from a stroke at "Revalidatiecentrum Roessingh". The people, in this case, have difficulties with their motoric capabilities. The goal of our project was to find a fun exercise for this type of rehabilitation.

I was the UI/UX Designer of this project - taking care of the layout of the interface, the art, and the user testing surrounding it. The Art Director (Lucia Dzediti) helped me with expanding upon my skills in graphic design. I learned how to draw a more stylized UI in 2D.

I also was a surprise 3D artist. I created mock-ups in Maya, sculpted them in Zbrush, and textured them in Substance Painter.

  • Volunteer: Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Video Editing & Illustrations at Symfonieorkest Eindhoven
    Eindhoven, Netherlands
    March 2019 - May 2019

A friend's mom was in an orchestra that was going to have its 50 year anniversary. The whole gimmick of the performance they would give would be space since the orchestra came to be in the same year as the moon landing of 1969. This would ultimately be the theme of the show.

My job would be to create visuals for each for most songs that would be shown on a big screen. I used royalty-free and non-copyrighted video images. I also created illustrations and animations for those and for still images.

  • UI Artist at Interactive Games Entertainment.
    Emmen, Netherlands
    May 2018 - May 2018

At Interactive Games Entertainment I was able to work for one day to see what the working field was like for a UI Artist. I made the design for the screen that would allow the player to purchase in-game items.
